First-Term Course Announced: Introduction to AI Assistants
On August 27 (Bishkek time), the Preparatory Committee of Utopia University (Preparatory) announced the first-term course schedule.
The first-term course is 'Introduction to AI Assistants' (Course Code: AI-101), taught by teacher Yu Hai, lasting twelve weeks, with classes every Tuesday, beginning after the opening ceremony on September 1.
This course is designed for beginners with no prior experience, starting from the first conversation with a large language model and progressing step by step: multi-turn dialogue, streaming output, assistant personality settings, tool calling, local memory, multi-model and web-connected queries, with a runnable small project completed each week. By the end of the course, each student will have built their own AI assistant for daily use and will present a final demonstration.
Course Enrollment Guide
Course enrollment time and method are as follows:
- Opening Time: August 30, 9:00 (UTC+8)
- Deadline: August 31, 23:59 (UTC+8), no late enrollment
- Enrollment Method: Log in to the university's unified identity authentication system, go to the 'My Courses' page to enroll; specific instructions will be published in campus notifications before the opening
Enrollment Notes:
- Enrollment requires prior completion of application and admission
- The course is designed for beginners, requiring no programming experience and no prerequisites
- After successful enrollment, the schedule and lecture notes will be available on the 'My Courses' page after classes begin
